Vacation cottage "La Oropendola"

Far,far away from the motor way at the feet of the Spanish Gredos, you find the Vera with her snowed mountain peaks and lots of crystal clear creeks. In this natural area of the northern Extremadura you find finca La Oropendola, a farm nearby the antique village of Cuacos de Yuste where emperor Charles Quint found his final rest in the abbey. From between the olive and fig trees you have a beautiful view at the wide valley and the mountains of the Gredos. This peaceful, natural surrounding, filled with flowers, butterflies and very special birds is an ideal vacation destination for all ages. You will find losts of space, peace, walking and cycling tracks, swimming paradises and beautiful old villages full of kind people and ambiance.

The walk to the nearest villages takes about half an hour, therefore we recommend a (hired) car. The cottage is not connected to the local electricity net, We create our own electricity by solar cells and a generator, and we punp our water from the mountain.

You can cook in the kitchen but if you prefer, we can also serve a nice breakfast, lunch and dinner (with drinks as well)
